Cindy “Cinders” Reece is a probie firefighter who chose to be assigned to Hillwood Fire Station – one of the busiest in the city.  Her first day was not what she expected.  First, she arrived to a filthy day room.  Taking a seat at the messy table, she noticed a pair of bright green eyes peeking out from underneath the haphazardly tossed newspapers and magazines.  Curious, she stood to move the paper aside only to see a photo of a GORGEOUS man. It was the men’s fireman calendar, and Mr. April was a breathtaking hunk of male!  She was caught off guard when some of the men surprised her while captivated by the picture – which would embarrass anyone!  The men laughed at her discomfiture and said that the man in the picture would not be happy to be openly ogled.  They abruptly stopped when their Captain entered the room from behind her, called them out for their behavior and asked her to take a seat.  She turned around only discover that Mr. April himself was Dave Johnson, her new boss!  After all the paperwork is done and her gear collected, Cindy headed to her locker ajar and inside a humiliating picture of her in a compromising position and some of the men are openly hostile.  The chemistry between Cindy and Dave is downright combustible (I just couldn’t resist), and he thinks he’s seen her somewhere (guess who’s Miss April in the female firefighter calendar). 

Will Cindy be able to establish herself as a valuable member of the squad?  Just how bad, or how dangerous, will the harassment get?  Will Cindy and Dave be able to keep their hands – and other body parts – to themselves (HAH)?

♥~Excerpt~♥

Powerful arms enveloped her and she felt his body against hers. He brushed her lips with his, then kissed her deeply, eagerly. Electricity shot through her as she returned his hungry, lingering kiss, willingly entering the passionate embrace. His tongue was warm, tasting of bourbon and salt, as he probed and met up with hers. He broke away from her mouth and bent his head, nuzzling her neck, and kissing her skin softly. Moving slowly around to the front, his lips caressed the little hollow at the base of her throat.

 

“Won’t your zumba group notice you’re missing?” As he spoke, his day-old stubble grazed her neck.

 

“I don’t care.” Her words were breathy and soft. With one quick movement, he removed her little T-shirt. He ran his hands up both her bare arms, softly, gently, deliciously, until they reached her shoulders. He inserted a finger under each of the black Lycra straps of her leotard, dragging them aside. He kissed her shoulders and tugged the top down, revealing her breasts, full, voluptuous, and begging to be kissed.
